Welcome to the PTO Prayer Corner. Read on about more information and opportunities to bring yourself closer to our Lord.

Need a prayer? The PTO, in an effort to connect more with our wonderful parish, directs you to St. Monica’s “prayer request” program, organized by the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the St. Jude’s Women’s Circle. If you have a special prayer request, simply fill out one of the green “prayer request” cards, located at all of the entrances and exits to the church. Drop it in the Sunday collection basket, and your card will then be sent to the parish office on the following Monday. It will be collected by ministry volunteers and added to other requests for the week, and your request will be the focus of the prayers of many of your fellow parishioners.

Also, this web page, http://www.catholic.org/prayers/, contains a variety of Catholic prayers that may have just what you are looking for during your personal times of reflection. It also is a great resource for information regarding Holy Days of Obligation, the Holy Rosary, Confession, Stations of the Cross and so much more. If you feel you need a refresher on these important aspects of our beautiful Catholic faith, this site may be worth checking out. (Our “Links” item in the left side menu on the home page will also lead you to diocesan and other Catholic sites.)

Lastly, please remember that we at St. Monica have the privilege of being able to spend time alone with the Blessed Sacrament in Eucharistic Adoration, held in the chapel. If you are up at the school, why not take time to be with our Lord? If you are not already an Adorer, you may be surprised by the joy and peace these quiet moments in our chapel will bring you. Hours are Monday-Friday, 9a.m - midnight; and Sunday from 6 p.m. to midnight.
